When sourcing botanical extracts, the single most common cause of quality disputes is an ambiguous specification. A ratio extract (like 10:1) describes how much raw herb went in — not what actives came out. A standardized extract (like withanolides 5%) guarantees a measurable marker compound, verified on the certificate of analysis.

For pharmaceutical and nutraceutical applications, we recommend specifying: the botanical source and plant part, the marker compound and assay method (HPLC/UV/gravimetry), limits for heavy metals, pesticides and microbiology, and the documentation you need for your market (CoA, MSDS, stability data).

Our QC laboratory tests every batch against the agreed specification before release, and we share the analytical method with your team so results are reproducible at your end.
